Let's Love the LOVE

Let's Love the LOVE campaign started in January of 2024 to address the gap in awareness and education on healthy relationships, intimacy, communication, consent, and mutual respect. It focuses on building strong, respectful relationships, especially for young people, to prevent any form of violence from happening in the first place. Among teenagers, navigating relationships can be challenging to establish and maintain healthy dynamics in relationships. They might encounter several obstacles unique to their age group, including peer pressure, developing identity, and lack of experience. To address this, the campaign aims to educate individuals on the essential components for building healthy relationships, where both people treat each other with kindness and respect, ultimately preventing harmful practices of violence.
In collaboration with the Gender Studies Department of Tribhuvan University and with support from the British Council Nepal, we reached 15 schools across the Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Lalitpur districts. We conducted four sessions at each school, totaling 60 sessions, covering topics such as healthy relationships, intimacy, consent, and forms of abuse, with a particular focus on dating violence. Additionally, through the weMEN Club Junior Project, we conducted this campaign in 12 schools across Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Godawari Municipality, and Mahalaxmi Municipality.
